WHAT IS IT?
The concept of a trailer based folding caravan
is not a new one.
There have been many versions dating back to the
turn of the twentieth century.
The Panda Pop Up Trailer is the latest reincarnation
of a fantastically easy, practical and fun way to
experience and enjoy the great outdoors.
The Panda Pop Up Trailer is stored and towed in its
folded down enclosed and weatherproof trailer form.
When you get to where you are going the Panda simply
unfolds into a comfortable and weatherproof caravan
that easily sleeps two adults and two kids.
PERSONAL STRENGTHS AND
My strengths in this instance lie first in my belief in the
market potential of my product.
I have self funded this project from the conception of
the idea to now, with 95% of the prototype completed
and the production moulds being finalised.
I have got to this stage whilst parenting my daughter
3-4 days a week and working as an Ariel photographic
surveyor on a self employed basis to enable some time
flexibility. I have enjoyed the challenge and have not
regretted my heavy investment in this project.
Another strength in relation to this project is the fact
that I have always enjoyed designing and making
something myself if I think I can.
I love the whole concept of up cycling and re using. I
look at my daughters latest must have items and try to
make a better, cheaper version. My exercise trampoline
based spinning swing is legendary amongst her peers
and the tree house and trampoline are definitely not
available on the high street!
I have always enjoyed this aspect of my character and I
know that people close to me have found it very
entertaining over the years. Up to this point, I have
never done this with a view to selling a product. I began
to believe in the potential of the Panda and chose to
invest in my idea but not to the detriment of any other
areas of my life and the responsibility that entails.
I feel these are good strengths to provide a solid base
to create a popular product.
My main weaknesses in respect to this project are in
delegation and organisation.
Due to financial restraints I have tried to achieve most
and I need to use the skills and expertise of others to
